ABOUT US
-2.jpg)
Uncorked Advocates was started nearly nine years ago with the idea to help nonprofits "uncork" their ability to be heard by national policymakers to better support their mission and communities. Charitable groups deserve to be heard by policymakers and Uncorked Advocates is best positioned to help the charitable sector work with the federal government to produce more effective and efficient solutions to problems.
This need for Congress to understand the unique value of nonprofits to the public and private sector has never been greater. The firm successfully secured millions of dollars in support for its clients the last several years through COVID relief packages, annual appropriation bills, including "earmarks" and policy changes.
With over 25 years spent in advocating for national nonprofits in Washington, DC and working on Capitol Hill, the firm's owner, Sally Schaeffer, understands how to help clients achieve policy and funding goals. She is a registered federal lobbyist and was named "Top Lobbyist" by The Hill newspaper for the past five (2021-2025), and named top lobbyist by peers through the National Institute for Lobbying & Ethics (NILE).
